Come celebrate the holidays in Historic Downtown Minden. Below is a full list of scheduled events for the weekend!

Friday, December 6th

Rehab Reindeer Run 5K

It’s time for our annual REINDEER RUN hosted by Minden Medical Center Rehab Services. This years’ participants will run/walk through the Ridgewood neighborhood at night to take in all the Christmas lights lining the course! Come join us for a jolly good time to kick off 2023 Christmas in Minden weekend!

Friday, December 13th

Tree Lighting Ceremony

Minden Civic Center
Join us as we light up the City Christmas Tree and kick off the exciting Holiday weekend!

Holiday Wine Walk
5:00pm – 9:00pm
Downtown Minden $$
Join us for a delightful wine tasting experience and stroll through Downtown Minden, where you’ll encounter delicious snacks, captivating entertainment, exclusive discounts, and so much more. Tickets will be available for purchase.

Holiday Trail of Lights Hayride
6-9pm Holiday
Downtown Minden
Take a tractor-pulled hayride tour of the Historic District and enjoy Christmas Lights and caroling hosted by Webster Parish Tourism & Dorcheat Museum.

Saturday, December 14th

Kids Ornament Crafting

Dorcheat Historical Museum
FREE
Create your very own ornament to hang on the tree. All supplies are provided by Webster Parish Libraries.

Kids Face Painting & S’mores
12pm – 3pm
The Courtyard
FREE
Minden JSL will be providing S’mores to roast over the fire for a sweet snack before the parade. Area art students will be available to paint faces.

Photos with Santa and Friends
Downtown Minden
Santa and friends will be walking around downtown, be sure to snap a picture before the parade begins!

There are eight (7) properties on the Tour of Homes. Tickets will be sold at each home.
